New modelling out of Ontario suggests the COVID-19 Omicron wave has now plateaued in that province. But in other provinces, hospitalizations – which are a lagging indicator – remain a concern.
As of Feb. 1 at 11 a.m. ET, Canada has a total of 9,810 COVID-19 hospitalizations – up by 97 – and an additional 137 deaths due to the virus.
