The COVID-19 pandemic is having a significant impact on mental health and some Canadians are reporting increased anxiety, stress and difficulty unplugging – all issues that can make it hard to get a good night’s sleep.
A recent U.S. study found a sharp rise in the use of melatonin as a sleep aid as a potential solution.
But as Global’s Jamie Mauracher reports, researchers say it’s not without health risks and there is not enough research to determine how dangerous long-term overuse may be.
